What to Expect

Taught by Sarah O'Connor a Senior YAP and Yoga Elder BWY Teacher with over 22 years of teaching experience. The course covers: Asana:- The principles, reasons for practice and counterposes. Mudras:- The use of key mudras. Breathing:- co-ordination of breath and movement, 3-part breath, full yogic breath, the use of breath when staying in postures. Kriya:- cleansing practice. Pranayama:- breath/energy control Concentration. Relaxation. Chanting. Talks/Discussions - History of Yoga, Sanskrit names, The Eight Limbs of Yoga. Course also is subject to a BWY registration Fee and membership, this is separate from the course fee.

Sarah O’Connor has been teaching for over 20 years, is a certified IYN Yoga Elder, a Yoga Alliance Senior Yoga Teacher, and an accredited teacher for The British Wheel of Yoga. She runs her own weekly classes, workshops. Her yoga training school is accredited by Yoga Alliance, and IYN, and is a British Wheel of Yoga 'ATO'. As well as IST tutor

She has advised and worked with senior health professionals at a variety of levels, and frequently teaches those who are post operation or suffering from long term illness, in order to speed their recovery. Her approach of understanding the whole person, in order to tailor the one to one sessions, has yielded great results.

Her teaching is a combination of physical and mental training; untying the knots of mind and body and reconnecting them without the agony.

She is hugely respected within the yoga and broader community and is known as “The Yoga teacher’s teacher”.
